Digital embodiment: What happens to the body when we “go digital?”

On February 17, I spoke to students, faculty, and staff at the Middlebury Institute for International Studies at Monterey on the topic of digital embodiment, as part of their Whole Body Intelligence workshop series. I was honored to be part of this workshop series and, as always, I enjoyed the opportunity to spend time with colleagues in Monterey.

The video of my talk is linked below. Click the image or link below to open the video.

I have written a couple of blog posts where I shared links and resources from the talk.

Digital embodiment: Constructing and deconstructing the body [Part 1]

If you take nothing else away from my talk, go look into digital redlining. Chris Gilliard’s work is so important as we think about what discrimination looks like, even when it’s in digital spaces.

Also, don’t miss the blog posts on this site about remote collaboration.
